ROYAL TWINS B7 Custom Urban Home - Multi-unit (2-6 units)
The Royal Twins are two semi-detached units that sit side by side with two very recognizable faces. They are identical, yet asymmetrical, with each unit housing 2100 SF of floor space over 2 floors, in addition to a fully finished basement.
The critical West facing location left no choice but to slope the garage entry inward and elevate the ground floor living space, such that both it, and the second floor sleeping quarters would be flooded with light from morning till late afternoon.
The most prominent and identifiable feature of these semis, are their two, large, identical, double story overhang balconies, which are clad in western red cedar, as they proudly contrast against the off-white Cement Board paneled surround.
The breathtaking open space is unmistakable as a guest steps foot into the residence.
To the left, a generous custom fireplace wall greats the visitor, flanked by a glass wall beyond, which encloses the open staircase, proudly on display within. As you penetrate the home, another incredible feature is discovered. An expansive skylight perched over the stairs, intentionally floods the house with light throughout the day, particularly because of its centrally located position.
The kitchen and dining area also has its very own unique experience with a waterfall island splitting the space into two separate cooking and working areas.
A large 16' wide sliding patio door serves as a backdrop to the whole space, and opens 8' wide, allowing for delightful interior/exterior dining.
The cleverly laid out lighting fixtures can be rotated to reconfigure the otherwise casual dining/sitting area into one big formal dining room for special gatherings.
Above, you will find a master suite at the east end of the house carefully separated by the 2 story open skylight with study nook, for privacy from the two smaller bedrooms at the west end.
